Medical Assistant, Diploma in St. Louis
Our Medical Assistant (MA) diploma program offers students a chance to receive a well-rounded curriculum that includes both general education and occupational courses. By combining academics with hands-on training, we are able to ensure that our students graduate with the knowledge and competencies needed to work effectively alongside doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals.
Similar to our Associate in Applied Science program, diploma students will receive training in a variety of practical skills including:
- Obtaining vital signs
- Documenting patient history
- Electrocardiograms (EKGs)
- Drawing blood (phlebotomy)
- Utilizing Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
- Assisting providers with various specialty examinations
Graduate Opportunities
Our Medical Assistant diploma program prepares graduates to become in-demand employee candidates in physicians’ offices, hospitals, clinics and outpatient medical facilities.
CMA (AAMA) Certification
Upon successful completion of the Medical Assistant program, graduates are eligible to apply for approval to take a national Certified Medical Assistant examination (AAMA) to become a Certified Medical Assistant.
