Scholarships

We believe motivated students with a passion for helping others and an authentic desire to better themselves through education should have unencumbered access to exceptional education opportunities. Our external scholarship programs can be a great option for eligible students who would benefit from addition financial aid resources.

General Eligibility Requirements and Scholarship Details

  • 3.0 Minimum GPA
  • Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) Not Required
  • Full- and Part-Time Students Eligible
  • Available to SLCHC Students in Any Semester of Study
  • Open to All Program Applicants and Students
  • Available to Online Learners, City Campus Students and County Campus Students
  • Refer to each scholarship program for the amount

 

Scholarship applications are accepted from students at any point in their SLCHC education, whether you’re just starting your first semester or are working toward completion of your fifth or sixth semester. As long as you meet financial needs and GPA requirements, your application will be considered.

List of Scholarships

  • Family of a Graduate Scholarship

    • Applicants must have a family member that has graduated from a SLCHC program.
    • Applicant must sign documentation of relationship to graduate.
    • Scholarship will be for $125 per full-time semester, maximum scholarship of $750.
    • Awarding of the scholarship will be as outlined above.
  • High School/GED Scholarship

    • Applicant must have graduated/completed within 1 year of starting a SLCHC program.
    • Scholarship will be for $250 per full-time semester, maximum scholarship of $1,500.
    • Awarding of the scholarship will be as outlined above.
  • Healthcare Employee Scholarship

    • Applicant must provide documented proof that they employed with a healthcare facility.
      • Proof of employment may be:
        • Pay statements
        • Check stub
        • Facility badge is not sufficient proof of employment
      • Recipient must remain employed through the duration of the semester or they may void the scholarship
      • Proof will be required prior to the end of each semester to validate employment
    • Scholarship will be for $250 per full-time semester, maximum scholarship of $1,500.
    • Recipient is responsible for ensuring they are applying for and awarded the scholarship
    • Awarding of the scholarship will be as outlined above.
  • Veterans Scholarship

    • Applicant must provide Admissions with a copy of their DD form 214 showing dates of service.
    • Scholarship will be for $250 per full-time semester, maximum scholarship of $1,500.
    • Awarding of the scholarship will be as outlined above.
  • SLCHC Graduate Scholarship

    • Graduates of SLCHC that have completed a program are eligible.
    • Scholarship will be for $500 per full-time semester, maximum scholarship of $3,000.
    • Awarding of the scholarship will be as outlined above.
  • A Plus Student Scholarship

    • Applicants must furnish documentation that proves they have been approved for the A Plus Scholarship
    • Scholarship recipient will receive $100 per credit hour
    • Scholarship may only be utilized to complete 1 program of study
    • Students must start their respective program within 2 years of graduating high school.
    • Awarding of the scholarship will be as outlined above.
